Jeff Peterson
President
Mr. Peterson has been involved in automation and special-purpose machinery for most of his 30-year career, beginning with the CAMCO division of Emerson Electric Co. with subsequent assignments at Kimberly Clark Corporation, Ridge Tool Division of Emerson Electric, American Tool Company and Applied Concepts Inc. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Mr. Peterson has been involved in machine design, new product development, strategic planning, international sales, business development and marketing for a wide range of industrial and consumer products. He is an active member with the Chicago Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a registered Professional Engineer, State of Illinois.

Ted Hartka
Senior Vice President
Mr. Ted Hartka has more than 45 years of experience working in the corrugated machinery industry. He joined SUN Automation in 1996 as Vice President and in 2001 became President. Nearing retirement in 2008, Ted assumed the position of Senior Vice-President upon the appointment of a new President. Prior to joining SUN, he served as Managing Director for Prime Technology for 10 years. Mr. Hartka's career included other positions such as President, Chief Engineer and Engineering Group Leader for organizations such as Staley Machinery, Ward Machinery and Langston Company. Mr. Hartka was born and raised in the Baltimore, MD area and received a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Hartka has served on the Board of Directors for AICC and is an active member of TAPPI and a life long member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Dan C. Phillips
Vice President of Operations and Business Development
Mr. Phillips joined SUN Automation in May of 1987, shortly after the company was established. During his career at SUN he has been promoted from Chief Engineer to Vice President, currently responsible for operations, manufacturing, and business development. A Tau Beta Pi National Honor Society member, Mr. Phillips graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Phillips and his family reside in close proximity to SUN's headquarters in Sparks, MD.

Ron Diedeman
Vice President Parts & Service Division
Mr. Diedeman joined SUN Automation in 2001 as General Manager of SUN Source 1 and has since been promoted to Vice President of Parts & Service for SUN Automation. Mr. Diedeman's career of 42 years in the corrugated machinery industry included positions such as Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Director of Customer Service and VP/GM for companies such as Koppers, Head Ski, WARD and Corrugated Gear. Mr. Diedeman was born and raised in the greater Baltimore, Maryland area and graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B S degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Chris Sinelli
Vice President and Program Director
Ms. Sinelli joined SUN Automation in 2005, as Vice President and Program Director. Prior to joining SUN she served as the CEO of Molecular Analytics Inc. Prior to her role with Molecular Analytics, Ms. Sinelli's career included positions such as General Manager, Associate Counsel, Director of Engineering, and Program Director for companies such as American Technology Corporation, Saul Ewing, and Allied Signal (later Environmental Technologies Group). Ms. Sinelli was born and raised in the Detroit metro area where she graduated with a BEE and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Detroit. She also has earned her MSE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, MBA from Harvard University and her Law Degree from the University of Maryland. She is a licensed attorney and licensed professional engineer.

John Borman
Director of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Borman joined SUN Automation in 2006. Prior to joining SUN Mr. Borman served as the National Sales Manager for Smurfit-Stone, Equipment Systems Division. Prior to his role with Smurfit-Stone, Mr. Borman's career included positions with Allied Signal/ Honeywell as Director of Sales and Plant Manufacturing Manager. His career also included several manufacturing leadership positions within a leading food company, Nabisco Brands. Mr. Borman was born and raised in the Chicago metro area and graduated with a BS and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University located in Richmond, Virginia.

JB Babcock
Director of Engineering
JB Babcock brings 23 years of corrugated and related industry experience to the position of Director of Engineering. Prior to joining Sun, Mr. Babcock ran his own consulting and mechanical design firm that served many industries including the corrugated box machinery industry. He has also held engineering and product development positions with KBA North America, AMBEC and Prime Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Masters of Engineering Management from George Washington University.
